Occupational NoiseThe most common application for Sound Level Meters is for the measurement of noise levels to ensure compliance with Occupational or Noise at Work limits. Across the EU and in many countries worldwide these regulations require the measurement of Leq and Peak(C). In particular the EU Physical Agents (Noise) Directive specifies the exposure limits for employees over an 8 hour day. These instrument ranges present a total of 10 Sound Level Meters and so the following instruments are recommended: CR:262 Class 2 Sound Level Meter > An entry level Sound Level Meter designed for compliance with Noise at Work Regulations, meeting the latest standards as well as providing for the measurement of Leq and Peak(C). CR:264+ Class 2 Octave Band Sound Level Meter > Providing for the measurement of Octave Bands as well as Leq and Peak(C) levels, this instrument is simple to use and includes the +Version data logging upgrade to allow the measurements to be downloaded to the Deaf Defier3 software. CR:822C Class 2 Octave Band Data Logging Sound Level Meter > The CR:822C has data logging as standard and can store up to 1,300 measurements which can be downloaded to the Deaf Defier3 software. The CR:822C has a large display and simple menu system allowing the setup of the instrument to be made from the keypad CR:811C Class 1 Data Logging Sound Level Meter > The CR:811C is a Class 1 Data Logging Sound Level Meter which is the ideal instrument for both Noise at Work and Environmental noise measurement applications. CR:821C Class 1 Octave Band Data Logging Sound Level Meter > The CR:821C provides the same functions and features as the CR:822C but in a Class 1 instrument. Data Logging and Octave Band filters are standard. The CR:260 Series can be upgraded to add data logging allowing up to 100 measurements to be stored and downloaded to a PC.
